Falcons Shine At Saints Invite
Kelly and Bowmann lead the way for Fitchburg State
Boston, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team returned to action this evening at it placed ninth overall with a total of 245 points at the 2017 Saints Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park.

How It Happened
Junior Amy Kelly (Stoughton, Mass.) continued her stellar season for the Green and Gold, placing 24th overall with a time of 20:52, while freshman Kambrynn Bowman (Norton, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 41st place, posting a time of 21:26 over the 5K course.
Senior Nicole Gaffney (Paxton, Mass.) was next for the Falcons, turning in a time of 21:53, while junior Casey Taylor (Chelmsford, Mass.) entered the chute with a time of 21:56. Senior Shawna Ryan (Hanson, Mass.), junior Jennifer Desilvestre (Beverly, Mass.) and sophomore Danielle Neild (Auburn, N.H.) rounded out the top efforts for Fitchburg State this evening with times of 22:09, 25:16 and 25:46 respectively.

Fitchburg State placed 11th overall at last year's Saints Invite with a total of 290 points.
Gordon College claimed top honors at the 2017 Saints Cross Country Invite after collecting a total of 66 points
