Fitchburg State Hosts Annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invite

Falcons finish ninth overall with a total of 226 points 

Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country opened its 2018 season this morning, placing ninth overall with a total of 226 points as the Falcons hosted their annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center.

How It Happened

Fitchburg State was led by senior Amy Keley (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton), who took top honors with a time of 19:15, while freshman Savannah Wojcik (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) crossed the line with a time of 24:45.

Newcomer Nyasia Torres (Fitchburg, Mass./Fitchburg) entered the chute next, tuning in a time of 26:02, while classmate Regan Kelly(Wilbraham, Mass.)  and senior Jennifer Desilvstre (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) rounded out the top finishers for the Green and Gold with times of 26:19 and 26:49 respectively.
