Falcons Soar at UMass Dartmouth Invitational
North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's cross country team placed twenty-eighth at the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational. Teams across NCAA Division I, II, and III participated in the event.

How It Happened
Senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) paced Fitchburg State with a 78th place time of 19:43.17 over the 5K layout, while freshman Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) followed with a time of 20:05.65.
Senior Maria Burnett (Fitchburg, Mass.) and first-year Diana Marquez-Frias (Lowell, Mass.) crossed the finish line with times of 20:14.48 and 22:18.06, respectively.
Rounding out the top six finishers were senior Courtney Brouillet (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Marjorie Veliotis (Stoughton, Mass.).
UMass Lowell won the meet with a total of 54 points. Stonehill finished in second place (120), just edging out SNHU (121).
