Falcons Finish 9th at James Earley Invitational
Westfield, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's cross country team placed ninth at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
Senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) paced the Falcons to their best team race of the season. Murphy finished with a time of 19:46.82 in 21st place. Classmate Maria Burnett (Fitchburg, Mass.) was next in 28th place, crossing the 5k course at the 20:04.34 mark.
The Green and Gold had two more cross the shoot in the top 100. Rookie Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) finished in 39th place (20:25.01), and junior Lilah McAndrew (Olde Lyme, Conn.) was 77th (21:23.53).
Senior Diana Marquez-Frias (Lowell, Mass.) was just behind in 104th (22:28.43).
