Falcons’ Finish Season at NCAA DIII East Regionals
Brunswick, Maine. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team completed a successful 2022 campaign by competing at the NCAA D3 East Regional Cross Country Championships hosted by Bowdoin College.

How It Happened
Senior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) capped off her career with a 61st-place finish with a time of 24:17.2 over the 6K championship course.
Three other Falcons raced in the top 100. Senior Maria Burnett (Fitchburg, Mass.) was 79th at 24:50.5, and just behind her was rookie Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) crossing the chute at 24:57.0 (82nd). Junior Lilah McAndrew (Olde Lyme, Conn) crossed the finish line with a time of 25:11.9 in 95th place.
