Women’s Cross Country Races to 21st Place Finish At 2023 Keene State Invitational

Goba leads the way for Green and Gold with 21st place time of 19:46.8

Keene NH. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team finished 20th overall with a total of 519 points at the 2023 Keene State Invitational at the Owl Athletic Complex.

How It Happened

Sophomore Skye Goba (Norton, MA) paced the Falcons, placing 21st overall with a time of 19:46.8 over the 5K course, while freshman Alexis Toste (Dracut, MA) was followed in 120th place with a time of 23:37.00

Newcomer Julia Arena (Shrewsbury, MA) was next for the Falcons with a time of 25:19.9, while sophomore Cassandra Israelson (Saugus, MA) entered the chute with a time 27:12.5.

Senior Erin Donelan (Fitchburg, MA) posted a time of 28:33.7, while senior Stephanie Piar (Ayer, MA) rounded out the top efforts for the Green and Gold on the day with a time of 30:30.9

Wellesley won the 2023 Keene State Invitational with a total of 82 points

Ella Whinney of Wellesley claimed the 2023 Keene State Invitational individual title with a first place time of 18:32.7
