Men's Soccer Earns Conference Draw With Bears

Ramadan collects first collegiate marker for Green and Gold

Fitchburg, MA – The Fitchburg State University Men's Soccer Team tied 1-1 with the Bears of Bridgewater State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened

Fitchburg State opened the scoring at the 30:06 mark as freshman Dante Ramadan (West Boylston, MA) collected a feed from senior Zachariah Foster (Brockton, MA) and deposited a shot inside the far post for his first collegiate tally for the 1-0 margin.

Following the intermission, Bridgewater State tied the contest at 1-1 in the 75th minute when junior Nicholas Matas (Milford, MA) converted a penalty kick for his second goal of the 2023 campaign.

The Green and Gold nearly took the lead back at the 81:31 mark with freshman Anthony Oliveira-Dalicandro (Waltham, MA) fired a shot that a Bears defender deflected over the net, resulting in the 1-1 draw.
